Sex its not what you think.

I think it is interesting that the social norm is kind of like the standard. If the norm started years ago and we are now realizing it is bogus, why is it still the norm? I can say in determining sex and gender is almost impossible to determine in this day and age without the characteristics or behaviors bleeding into each other. I can share the social characteristics of a motherly figure, or the role a nurturer. I take care of my children in school why my wife works. In the social norm she and I could be classified as having switched gender roles. If religious texts are studied, and practiced from a gender bias standpoint, it is easy for one to assume that their lives will be formed to what they think the texts have meant. Giving and taking power to those who act out these roles. One role dominating another. It is scary to think but until we can break the social norm and be classified as all equal.
