In Religious Studies I see myself thinking more about the experiences of people in their everyday lives. Trying to imagine what these people had to go thru to survive. I think that is how I am starting to understand it. I also think about the courage one needs to stand for a certain view or understanding of a religious practice. I see that I did throw the “Believe” word around loosely. I did not ever think when I said a statement like “I Believe _____”, that I would would be largely excluding many people. Not all people share my personal views and no person has experienced my spiritual revelation first hand. I have to start by explaining what I was going thru personally, where in the world I was, and any interaction I received with others. So when I say “that person believes ___”, I am not fully respecting or understanding there religious traditions, and or their own religious experience.
